ListingLedge ("we", "us", "our") operates the website listingledge.com and the ListingLedge platform (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. If you register via Google or Facebook OAuth, we receive the information you authorize those services to share. If you register via email, we store your email and hashed password.

Listing Content

Everything you enter in Listing forms — including business descriptions, photos, financial summaries, pricing, and availability — is stored by us and, depending on the Listing type, displayed to other members.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages viewed, search queries made, Listings saved, and features used.

Communications

Messages sent through the Platform between members, inquiry forms, and support communications are stored by us.

Device and Technical Information

We automatically collect technical information including browser type and version, operating system, IP address, referring URLs, and cookie identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and all its features.
• Process transactions and bookings.
• Send transactional email notifications, including Listing inquiries, Confidentiality Agreement requests and confirmations, and booking confirmations.
• Send marketing emails, newsletters, and Platform updates. You may opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Improve, personalize, and expand the Platform based on usage patterns.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations, respond to legal process, and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Platform:

• Session cookies: Required to keep you logged in and maintain your session state.
• Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how members use the Platform so we can improve it.

You can control cookies through your browser settings or through our cookie consent banner. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

We use analytics tools to understand aggregate Platform usage. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform, including: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (web hosting and infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), and Sentry (error tracking and monitoring). These providers access your data only as necessary to provide their services and are contractually bound to protect it.

Other Members

Your public Listing information and profile details are visible to other registered members. Information submitted in inquiries or through CAs is shared with the applicable Listing owner.

Legal Disclosures

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of ListingLedge, our members, or the public.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide you with Platform services.

If you delete your account, we will retain your data for a period of 90 days to allow for account recovery, after which your personal information will be permanently deleted from our systems, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (such as transaction records or legal hold obligations).

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Export / Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
• Marketing opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.

California residents: You have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

EU and UK residents: You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing, the right to restriction, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for or directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. 9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls that limit data access to authorized personnel only, and regular security audits and monitoring.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to support@listingledge.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered members via email and post a prominent notice on the Platform. The updated policy will be effective as of the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
